An 11-year-old boy was killed in Bihar's Supaul district on Friday when two groups allegedly clashed over a property dispute, police said, adding that the accused are on the run.
The incident took place in Sukhasan village when the boy was caught in the middle of a clash between two groups over the ownership of 16 acres of land.
"Rajendra Sah and Vilas Sah of the same village are claiming ownership of the lands," said a senior police officer on condition of anonymity.
“On Friday, groups led by two villagers clashed with each other and the boy, son of Rajendra Saha, was beaten up by people from the opposite side. The boy died on the way to the hospital, station house officer (SHO), Kishunganj police station, Mehboob Alam said.
"Police have launched a search for the accused who fled after the encounter," the SHO added.
