The infant's body was found on Tuesday evening on the Pusta road in Loni by some locals. They then informed the police around 7:00 pm and soon a team arrived at the spot to investigate the case.
The police suspect that the boy was born dead and someone dumped the body on the side of the road.
Police found that the boy was born on March 20 around 7:15 a.m. and the body was dumped on Tuesday evening.
“We found a hospital kit near the body with a tag that said 'Rukhsana wife of Afzal'. However, the name of the hospital was not mentioned. Till Wednesday evening, we visited more than 50 hospitals in the city but did not find any information,” said ACP Rajneesh Upadhayay.
