Not interested in Bihar CM post: Tejashwi Yadav

At a rally in Bihar on Monday, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav rubbished all speculations about him becoming the chief minister of the state.

"I want to live up to the trust he has placed in me. Neither he wants to become PM nor I want to become CM. We are happy where we are,” Yadav said. The opposition can fantasize about the gulf between us, he added.

The young RJD leader said he was very happy working under Kumar.

He thanked the Bihar Chief Minister for deciding to break the JDU's alliance with the BJP and walk out of the NDA last year. "I would like to thank the Chief Minister for taking the decision," Yadav said

Yadav was speaking during the budget allocation debate for the road construction department, which he holds the portfolio along with the post of deputy CM.

He also raised the issue of the Enforcement Directorate investigating many opposition leaders. He accused the BJP, the ruling party at the Centre, of using central agencies against opposition politicians like himself.

He said that the BJP targets others in the name of corruption allegations, but it has a different yardstick when it comes to its own members (BJP).
