Mamata calls urgent meeting at Nabanna tomorrow, key administrative officials to attend
Delhi on Friday extended Manish Sisodia's Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody by another five days in the money laundering case related to the Delhi Consumer Policy case.
The court had earlier reserved its order on an objection by the ED, which sought a seven-day remand of Sisodia for further questioning in connection with the case.
During the hearing, the ED told the Rouse Avenue court that Sisodia, a former deputy chief minister in Delhi, had been using the mobile phone for nearly 8 months, but it was changed on July 22, 2022, the same day LG handed over a complaint to the CBI over the then excise duty policy.
Sisodia told the court that the ED interrogates him for half an hour and then takes a break. “There is no questioning in the first half and the second half only has 30 minutes to one hour of questioning. Yesterday, I asked them to ask me and finalize it,” said Sisodia.
