AAP announces 1000 per month to women if voted back to power
Police have launched a manhunt to arrest a man who was recently caught on camera forcefully kissing a health worker on the premises of a government hospital in Jamui district.
Police said the health worker was talking to someone on the phone in the hospital premises last Friday when the youth came from behind, overpowered her and forcibly kissed her before fleeing the scene by jumping over the boundary wall.
A video clip of the act, which has gone viral on social media, shows the man coming from behind while the woman remained engrossed in talking to someone on her mobile phone. The young man then held the woman by the head, overpowered her and then kissed her as she appeared helpless. By the time the others got there, the man had fled the scene.
“We have registered an FIR. Efforts are underway to identify the accused. He will be nabbed soon,” Jamui SP Rakesh Kumar told on Tuesday. The woman told that she was taken aback when the man grabbed her from behind. "I didn't know him," she said.
The incident has sparked outrage on social media among netizens who are demanding strict action against the accused and stricter laws to protect women from sexual assault.
