Mamata calls urgent meeting at Nabanna tomorrow, key administrative officials to attend
The deposition of prosecution witnesses in the illegal money collection and money laundering case against former state minister Madhu Kora and others could not be held before a special PMLA court on Monday as the witness failed to appear.
The court set the next exercise date for March 31. But Kora was present at the court.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has registered a case (ECIR/2/2009) in connection with the alleged raising of illegal money by Kora when he was Chief Minister from 2006 to 2008.
His associates Manoj Punamia, Anil Kumar Bastawade, Vijay Joshi, Arvind Vyas, Binod Kumar Sinha and Vikas Kumar Sinha and several firms were accused in the case.
