‘Singham Again’: Rohit Shetty’s cop-thriller with Ajay Devgn to get Diwali 2024 release

Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn have reunited for police thriller maker Singham's upcoming installment. The third installment of the commercially successful franchise titled Singham Again is slated to hit theaters on Diwali 2024.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on Twitter and wrote, “#Xclusiv… AJAY DEVGN – ROHIT SHETTY: “SINGHAM AGAIN” ON DIWALI 2024… #SinghamAgain – 3rd installment of #RohitShetty's super hit #Singham – Frank release on #Diwali2024. … #AjayDevgn returns as #BajiraoSingham… Starts July 2023 (sic).”

In the film, the actor will reprise his title role as he takes on new villains. The film also features Deepika Padukone in the lead role, her debut in Shetty's cop universe. The filmmaker had earlier confirmed the casting of Padukone and said, “We are making Singham next. Everyone kept asking me who the lady cop was in my universe. So today let me confirm that Deepika Padukone will be Lady Singham, the lady cop in Singham 3. We will start shooting next year.”

Akshay Kumar will reportedly appear in the film as Sooryavanshi, the titular character he plays as part of Shetty's police universe. Hinting at Akshay's cameos, a source close to the project said, “Just like in Simmba where both Ajay and Akshay did cameos albeit in credits and later in Sooryavanshi where Ranveer and Ajay were seen, Singham Again will also feature Akshay and Ranveer.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Devgn will feature in his upcoming directorial Bholaa, which also stars Tabu. The premiere in cinemas is scheduled for March 30.

Apart from Singham 3, Shetty is also working on his first web series titled 'Indian Police Force' with Siddharth Malhotra and Shilpa Shetty.
