Jharkhand's Chatra police nab maoist of hit squad

Chatra police yesterday arrested Maoist Ramashish Yadav, who is a member of the task force of wanted commander Gautam Paswan.

A special team formed by Chatra Superintendent of Police Rakesh Ranjan arrested Yadav from Koluwa area under Huntergunj police station.

Police officer Avinash Kumar, who led the team, said 40-year-old Yadav was arrested based on a tip-off received by SP Chatra. Yadav was wanted in ten cases at another police station in Chatra district.

Kumar said Yadav was also known as Chalitar Yadav alias Angad. He said his arrest is a big jolt to the Maoists. Yadav is a resident of Kendua village under Giddhore police station in Chatra. He was involved in a police encounter with Maoists in July last year in Huntergunj area.
