The ban under Section 144 CrPC has been lifted from Panki in Palam with immediate effect from today.
The prohibitory order was promulgated in Panki on from February 15 following the outbreak of communal riots.
Sadar SDO Rajesh Kumar Sah said that police officer Lesliganj and circle officer Panki have given a written report about the normality in Panki and hence it is withdrawn.
On March 2, a peace committee meeting was held in Panki where both communities decided to maintain peace and harmony and this revocation of section 144 from Panki is in the context of the normalcy, peace, and harmony prevailing there, the order to cancel the SDO is read.
