West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced her upcoming visit to Delhi on December 17, during her ongoing seven-day tour of North Bengal. Speaking to reporters at Bagdogra Airport after completing her visit to Kurseong, Banerjee revealed her intent to meet Prime Minister Modi.
The Chief Minister emphasized that she has already communicated her availability to the Prime Minister for a meeting on any day between December 18 to 20. In a letter addressed to the Prime Minister, Banerjee outlined her agenda for the meeting, which includes seeking funds for the state's initiatives in the areas of employment (100 days of work), housing, rural roads, and the health sector.
Additionally, she intends to discuss the delay in receiving Goods and Services Tax (GST) funds.
